Star Step Performance Coatings Group Acquires DAAS & Chemicals

Acquisition expands the Star Step platform internationally and adds specialized coatings and R&D capabilities.
Star Step Performance Coatings Group is pleased to welcome DAAS & Chemicals to its growing coatings platform, joining Richard’s Paint Manufacturing, Trinkote Industrial Finishes, ALTA Paints & Coatings, Desert Polymer Flooring and Royal Powder.
Headquartered in Pordenone, Italy, DAAS is a global coatings manufacturer with specialized expertise in industrial wood coatings, particularly coatings for the pallet industry, as well as related specialty applications. The company operates manufacturing facilities in Italy, the Philippines and the United States and serves customers in more than 60 countries.
The addition of DAAS brings significant formulation, technical and R&D expertise to the Star Step platform while extending our manufacturing presence beyond the United States for the first time. Together, our companies now have operations spanning North America, Europe and Asia, creating new opportunities to share technologies, capabilities and market expertise across the platform.
As part of Star Step, DAAS will continue building on the expertise and customer relationships that have driven its growth while gaining access to the broader commercial, technical and manufacturing resources of the Star Step organization. At the same time, DAAS’s technologies and international experience add new capabilities that can support growth and innovation across the Star Step family of coatings companies.
DAAS will continue to be led by co-founder Carlo Della Toffola as general manager, with co-founder Stefano Antoniazzi supporting the company as an advisor.

We are excited to share that Royal Powder Corporation has been acquired by Star Step Performance Coatings Group, a growing industrial coatings platform that includes Richard's Paint, Trinkote Industrial Finishes, ALTA Paints & Coatings, and Desert Polymer Flooring.
Royal Powder will operate under the leadership of Mink Patel, with the same commitment to custom formulation, rapid turnaround, and hands-on technical support that has made the company a trusted partner to OEM and industrial manufacturers.
